    Vibration 2023 4M, Cali, 15k km

I also wonder if particular tyre, its design manufacturer etc might be more inclined to sympathetic resonance at certain speed with certain road topography. Varying the pressure may possibly change the speed of interaction or force. Some tyre types etc may damp out resonance more than others...

    Swamper tyre pressure

...up to seal the rim and forget! Though I am asked and someone supposedly adjusts them, Pull over a very short distance away check tyre pressures and think did he use a pressure gage or just do the look test because even when they ask they are nowhere near what they are supposed to be and no...

Tyre Pressure Monitoring System retrofit to Startline

this discussion is based on direct TPMS (which requires sensors in each wheel) it is possible to activate indirect TPMS on any vehicle that doesn’t require any wheel sensors, it won’t give you exact pressures but it will let you know if one tyre start to lose pressure

How did you get on with the BFG (245/65/R17) tyres - where they on a T6? Sorry if I missed that bit. Thanks

What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Pressure washed underneath, lano guarded (miserable job at roadside) and fitted belly pan. And inflated tyres, rock and roll!

    T6.1 - 16" Clayton Poor RIde Quality

My van, a T5.1, is on the stock Colmar 16” wheels with Hankook R28e tyres in the 215/65 size. These are commercial rated tyres and despite having had Koni SpecialActives fitted with OE springs - allegedly the best set up for comfort… the ride is hideous. Better after the shocks but still crashy...

TPMS Alerts but no pressure loss

T6 or 6.1? Pretty sure they have different systems, T6 uses the abs wheel speed sensors and tyre rotation, where T6.1 uses actual pressure sensors in the valves.

Front tyres - heavy wear on shoulders

Hi all, i have an ex-RAC T6 with 20 inch wheels, the passenger side tyre is wearing on the outside edge. I have had alignment checked and tyre pressure are at 42 psi. I've never seen wear like this on any vehicle before, anyone with any idea. Your help is much appreciated.

    20’s any regrets?

I run mine 42 on the front due to having the weight of the biturbo engine and 4 motion. I'll keep my eye on the blister situation, thanks for the heads up. Rears are still pirellis.

Tyre Pressure Monitor : Error Code C114602

Hi Everyone, Hope you are well. Forgive me if someone has addressed this in an earlier thread. I have a T6 Transporter and the tyre pressure monitor light came on. My usual "Go To" Independent Garage discovered the Error Code and suggested that I need to go to a Dealer to get it reset...

    T6.1 - 16" Clayton Poor RIde Quality

It's exactly as @John A says above - your 16" wheels coupled with narrow tyres means that there is a low (relatively) volume of air supporting the weight of the vehicle and therefore the air has to be compressed to a high inflation pressure to compensate. High pressures result in less...

    tyre pressure message and symbol.

I have read a few of the topics already here and they seem different to mine. whilst driving I had a message come up saying tyre pressure had dropped, check and reset pressure. also the sign lit up on the dash. I have checked the pressures and they are still correct, I cannot fine the button in...

    LAUNCH Creader V11+V2.0

Interesting... also as there were no fault codes as a real low pressure incident always triggers a fault code (of course assuming the code reader can actually read VW ABS controller). I think it's something else - possibly similar to challenge in below...

    17” tyre recommendations

Tyre pressure recommendations? I'm just getting some BFG All Terrain's fitted to replace my worn-out Cooper Discoverers. They're both the same size (245/65/R17) but as non-standard tyres I've never known the correct pressure. I'm setting off tomorrow to drive fully-loaded to Italy, so want to be...

    Tyre Pressures 255/45/18

Thanks for the response. Got some advice from a Facebook T6.1 group too. Base van was a Kombi. Just ever me in it as a passenger but consensus does seem be that something like 45psi all round is best. I haven't noticed any uneven tyre wear with the existing pressures. Visually the front...

    20” Tyre Pressure

Geometry and tyre pressures are the fundamental requirements for a good tyre life. If it was me the first thing I would do is get a full laser alignment done. If you can get the vehicle weighed noting overall weight and each axle weight with vehicle in the every day configuration. Distribution...
