I have a lovely new pop top on my van now... cut out the windows today and I'm good to go with the ply and carpet.... just a thought though... how are people finishing off that section just above the tailgate door... where the roof has been cut out?
I’m looking to get my T6 edition soundproofed insulates and carpeted, after a bit of advice please.
Is this a diy job or one best left to the pros?
what’s the best soundproofing? Is the silent coat extra thick worth going for?
Is it worth ply lining replacing existing panels using the...
My van is now the proud owner of a pop-top.
Is it Windows or carpeting next? I think windows, but then how to you make sure you get a nice carpet seal up to the window trim? It's probably simple for those of you that've completed this task on many occasions, but without the experience I can't...
LWB Kombi, heading in to have rear windows and a pop top fitted in January. When the windows are fitted the converter is going to do the carpet lining as it’s best done along with the window I think.
Today took the kombi lining out in preparation for making new ply lining for the converter to...
Hi anyone got any tips on applying carpet trim to a Loc8 table system. Did you use a single piece of trim or cut out sections for the inset area which holds the table in place. Cheers.
I was looking to sound deaden and insulate my Kombi, not converting to a camper yet, was then going to just refit existing panels, however someone has suggested there’s little point unless you carpet line it afterwards as the metal will still be cold and cause condensation? Anyone any experience...

Is it best to do the electrics before I carpet and lay the altro flooring?
I was hoping to do the carpeting first but I was just speaking to a local converter and he said to do the electrics either before or at the same time.
My original plan was to put down the 12mm floor then lay the altro...

The reason for the question : My van is an ex-builders van and it is really grubby. Adding to that the headlining has...

Currently the rear arches have been silent coated and I planned to fit the vanstyle covers, then carpet them for a nice smooth finish once I carpet the rest of the interior.
I'm now wondering if I should box the arches in though to...
Hello All,
Just after some advice and peoples past experience.
I am about to carpet the new van. I am lining the metal work separate to the boards. I have no intention of turning it into a full camper, so no need for structure to hang units etc.
So will i be fine just to use the original...
20 minute video on how to remove the old ply, remove the hardboard panels, make new ply panels, sound deadening, insulating and carpeting... it’s a long hard process, but worth it in the end!
Hi all,
Since new I’ve had issues with the tailgate not engaging properly on closing. The dealership says it’s down to the vacuum created and it bounces off the latch and was told that this should settle after time, 18 months on it’s still the same. I think what they’re saying is correct as...
Hi, I'd like to pick your brains, I'm wanting to make the rear of the van more sociable for passengers by fitting a nearside rear quarter window (not me personally!)
I've taken off the carpeted panel and found that the van is already carpeted underneath as well. I'm guessing that the normal...
Currently halfway through some soundproofing on the left hand side of the van, but having a mind wrestle regarding the rear lower quarter area.
There are several plastic wiring boxes attached in that area which could be controllers of some sort, and I'm loathe to stuff Dodo insulation down...
