Just wondered if there was any advice / VW schedule for maintaining the sliding door(s)?
I guess keeping roller bearings and latches well lubricated and checking slider mechanism fixings for tightness are the things that spring to mind.
Anything else to consider? There have been a few threads...
I am thinking about getting some levelling ramps. However as I have never used them before I am wondering how easy/difficult it is to control driving onto them with a DSG box.
My worry is the risk of driving straight over them and if you did is it much of a disaster, which Im guessing depends...
SWMBO’s Octavia just been in for service and brake fluid - basically oil/filter change and check lots of things - £310
What is everyones thoughts on DIY servicing? Considering many of us rip stuff out, fit other stuff in and generally modify wherever possible!

I really like my local garage. I neither like nor trust my local VW dealership (long story - previous car). I’ve had my T6 a year. The MOT’s due and it might as well be serviced (?). It’s on a “Q18” flexible service schedule. "Long-life" oil was used at the 27k oil change in early 2018 – but...
Just a quick recommendation for streetwise automotive Bristol VW specialist
They looked after my caddy for years first job I gave them was a mystery 3 other garages couldn’t find fault they found within half an hour! Kept updating throughout letting me know issues and if I was happy to proceed(...

Had my van since Sept 2019 and have done around 12,500 miles and the oil light/service message just came up. I have it booked in for next week, are there any things i should look out for, or ask them to check?
Cheers in advance.
CZ.

It’s not really an issue as I can do this myself but would of thought a service would have picked this...
Something came up recently that I was stumped on - and id forgotten what a massive rip off paying someone else to fix your van can be.

Evening folks, does anyone from Leicestershire no of any/can recommend a decent place(indepent not main dealer) to service my T6? I usually go to my local German Marque specialist for my car, (this is the first time the service is due since I've owned my transporter)but just wondering if there's...
Hi there. I've been inspired by @fezza68's helpful thread RE dealers in the NW.
I have a VW Service plan for next 2 services, and therefore am tied to a VW Dealer. I didn't have the best experience last time I popped in to JCT600, Sheffield, and therefore wondering about other options...
