Hi,
I took delivery of my windows last week but didn't realise the make I went for were only rear slider on the side window. I contacted the company and they agreed I could return them....... but now I'm wondering whats the benefits of a rear slider? I really like the shallow recess of the...
Hi im after some advice please before i purchase . i cant find any info in the listings here on side windows and how safe / secure are they. what brought my attention was fitting a plain window to the sliding door side
My question is are the catches easily picked or broken and is...
Hi All
I like the idea of a rear slider like the below from Home | Vehicle Glass Company Ltd Not much out there for LWB rear. I enquired and they said they would do a limited run if I could get some interest. Sooo putting it out there anyone else interested ;)

Hello
I have had my side door glass replaced and have now got genuine VW opening windows on the old girl
The fixed glass windows that were there before have been professionally removed and are available to anyone who wishes to
A) collect from Hampshire
B) give me fair price for them
I dont...
Cant believe it, heard plenty about T5 windows leaking and just assumed they would have fixed it by now but apparently not.
Over the last week every time it rains i have a nice trickle of water running from the front lower corner of my OSR slider down to a nice wet patch on the floor, thats to...
Hi folks, just a word of warning that my van was broken into today by someone who very neatly pushed the sliding side window out of my kombi into the back seat.
I’d never heard of this as a weakness but I’m certainly aware of it now. They definitely knew what they were doing, no damage...
I have accidentally and stupidly smashed the sliding part of the dark tinted window fitted into the passenger sliding door on my T6. It is approx 405mm high by about 430mm long (but is in a million pieces so getting exact measurement is hard). Anyone know where I could get a replacement - just...
Hi all,
It's been a while but I'm back on the forum again now...
I've been looking at trading in my Caravelle, currently waiting for a Part Ex quote. I'm thinking about a Highline Kombi base van for a stealth swamper camper build and I'm currently spending far too much time on the...
Just noticed that the first stop for the sliding side window on the Kombi is big enough to get your hand through - probably not great if you want to leave the window slightly open for ventilation over night!
Has anyone added extra stops to reduce this - think this can be done by drilling some...
Has anyone had issues with their rear sliding windows getting stuck? After some argy bargy I’ve managed to realise one of them but they other is stuck fast.
I’ve seen post about these but could not find anything when I searched so apologies for starting another post.
I’m after the vents that fit in the rear sliding windows that stop the midges from entering the van whilst offer ventilation when camping.
If you have these, would you mind sharing...
Hello all,
This is my first real post other than to say hello as a new member a few weeks back.
As I am the proud owner of a T6 kombi which I have wanted for a very long time, I was somewhat irritated to find when I took it to have the rear trimmed out that water had been making its way...
For those of you like me who've gone down the panel van route, what sliding window choice did you go for ? . I've heard horror stories about original vw ones regarding leaking, but a few people I know that own kombis have had no issues.
I'd prefer to go original but open to suggestions on...
 So I have removed my interior door skin to do a bit of sound deadening today and heard something fall off as I was removing it. Does anybody know where this bit goes !!?
Plastic with rubber, I’m presuming some sort of stopper??
After reading various threads I understand that the OEM flush windows have had problems with leaking. I also understand that there now aftermarket ones available and have found a few via searches. My question is what are the best ones?
Lots of info on here about leaky sliders, but can't find any solutions to not being able to close the slider, stops before the little bend that seals it shut. The butterfly works at all the stops except the last one. Still not been able to get any pics and details sorted due to weather.
Looking...
Hello
I would really appreciate some advice as to how people have finished the inside of their window fitment after installing OEM sliding windows into a panel van door.
I am aware that I will have to cut an additional part of the frame to get the sliding window to fit correctly but I wan to...
I have found on the odd occasion one of my Kombi rear sliding windows gets jammed shut. I even asked one of the guys where I bought it from to try and he couldn't open it either.
I think it may be on hotter days, which is obviously when I want to open the window too!
I was advised to take it...
