Hi, does anyone else here find that the socket is a pain, due to how tight the fit is and gives a feel of self destruct on extracting the plug.
If so, have you done anything to alleviate having to hold the dash down
My 2016 euro 5 start line has the 12v socket lower down but there was a blanking plug on top where it could be fitted. The guy who did my conversion fitted a 12v socket there piggybacked off the lower one and I use it for the Garmin Sat Nav where the lead needs to be played out on the dash for traffic signals.
It seems to be quite firm to me and I have pulled and pushed it a few times now. It's not an OEM part so could have slightly more play and re piggybacking, I won't use it for any power-hungry items, just a Satnav and phone charging with a usb adaptor.
