Morning All,

I've had a browse on here, i found one thread for something similar, but all the links have now expired due to them being 3+ years old.

I'm on the lookout for a 12v tv for the van, ideally 22" maximum, minimum 19".

I have saved in my basket a cello smart tv with netflix etc built in, but after reading the other thread it appears quality was no good both sound and vision. I also recently visited the motorhome show, but the tv's on sale there were around the £600 price, which is well overdue budget.

Ideally I'm looking for a tv and bracket around the £3-350 mark

Any pics/links of what you have would be great.

When I looked into this, I settled on buying myself a large iPad to watch movies on. (Still mid conversion so not purchased yet)
you can put Netflix on there, and has the ability to download films in advance if you’re out in the boonies.

@TheGrapeEscape We have had a Avtex 19" tv for the last 6 years and never had a problem pictures good sounds good we use a bluetooth speaker as well with it and never had a problem with the right connections we cast from our phones to it use a portable satellite dish one major tip is get a decent aerial for it not one of these cheapo magnetic things if you need any more info just ask

I bought a Cello smart TV...was not impressed with the UI, the sound was terrible. I eventually put it outs its misery by inadvertently melting it on a heater, so a bit of a blessing in disguise. I then made a discovery, some of the regular samsung TVs are powered by a 14V mains adaptor...which conveniently work fine at 12v. There are several models that are suitable...just look out for the ones with a mains adaptor generally available on ebay for around the £50 mark second hand. coupled with a chromecast, you have a decent brand 12v compatable TV for next to no money that can also be used via the mains adaptor if you chose to on hook up. it will need a little basic electrial know how however as you would need to make up a cable to connect from a 12V outlet to the TVs DC barrel connector input, but its not rocket science.

I got one of these. It’s slightly bigger than 22” at 24”. The sound is ok but doesn’t go particularly loud although it’s plenty loud enough for the camper and the picture is good.
I’ve got it mounted on a bracket so it folds flat against the units when not in use and swings out when in use.
