12v van cable

Saw your USB sockets in the door pillar and I would like to fit similar, one each side of the van. However, I will be running the cables from the main fuse board (ignition switched supply)beneath the dash, but have not pulled up the carpet or removed the pillar trim yet- is there an obvious cable route and do you have to remove seats and the whole cab carpet?
I didn’t remove the seats, the cable fitted lovely between the gap under the seat

Ok. I have further to go-just thinking it may be more of a job dismantling the cab in order to run the cables to the dash than I first thought. Pulling trim apart gives me the fear as brittle plastic likes to snap.

They pop off easy but I would but replacements clips just in case

Can anyone confirm if there is one cable type that can be used for the 12v wiring throughout so i can just buy one reel or do i need to use different cable depending on whats connected ?

You need different thicknesses cable for different jobs.... Thicker cable for higher wattage and higher Amps

What sort of things are you looking to wire up ?

Fridge, usb sockets 12v sockets, led's ... and so on, was hoping that i could go for a thicker cable that would do the highest wattage and Amps and use it througout.

I have already cabled up the battery and have the cables for that sorted, its the wiring from the 12v fusebox for all of the above i am thinking of.

You can use a thicker cable than you need, but it may be difficult to bend and fit into connectors.
It’s heavier and takes up more space too, but if you already have it, then it does save you buying more cable.
