Hopefully you'll be prepared to share the VRM privately with interested parties, in order that they can perform their due diligence.

I understand you not wanting to post the reg publicly but as above its normal for potential buyers to want the reg number beofre travelling, this allows them to HPI it and lookup the MOT history etc etc

Just over 2 years ago my sisters car was cloned,she received speeding,parking tickets,bailiff letters etc for over a year until dvla and the police sorted it.How it left a marker on her credit file which has been extremely difficult to resolve

Appreciate that, but there are many who won't entertain spending >£28k on a private sale without the ability to check o/s finance, MOT history, etc. first, so you'd be severely limiting your audience.

They will have to do what I did ,which was find it ,go take a look,check it’s mot history ,popped into a Vw dealership checked out there all good …….popped back,paid deposit

I sold a T6 4 motion a few months back (wish I'd kept it!!! ) I too blocked the reg in the pics....carnt believe how many negative comments I got.....nice van good luck with yiur sale

It's not the fact of not sharing the VRM in open forum - that's a sensible precaution and is what I would do - it's the fact the seller appears not to be prepared to share the VRM privately with prospective buyers.

I never entertained hidden reg ads. Always made me concerned there was write off history or HPI on the vehicle - also a low mileage and young vehicle at a low price also would feel concerning. There's plenty of vans for sale out there with reg visible for MOT history and HPI checks.
