yes, they will work fine with a 30mm or 40mm drop.

Keeping with the 235/60/17 spec could I go 30mm spacer or is 25mm the only option?
Was just also thinking about avoiding having to cut down the standard bolts and assuming.

Do you have standard VW T6 wheels (or wheels with the same ET Off-set as the OEM's)?
If so, 25mm(each side) is the maximum for the front axel
You can go up to 40mm each side on the rear axel.
When you look for spacers VW T5 are the same as VW T6,
This sort of thing, should work, just check that you get 2 sets of bolts with spacer (for a 25mm). I set, to bolt the spacer to the hub; and 1 set to bolt the wheel to the spacer. For a 25mm spacer you need to discard your original wheel bolts, as they are too long.
