4Mo: with or without Diff Lock?

Any progress yet? What's involved in retro fitting the diff lock? Is is software or is it an addition to the rear diff unit.

You need to change the Rear Diff to the Version with Diff-Lock.
Than 2 Air Lines need to be installed and some Valves and a relais and the switch in dashboard.
of course some coding is involved, too

You can easy see if the Diff you are searching does have the Lock.

There needs to be the White Control Box mounted on it:

I've got difflock and hill descent on my 4motion, used it a couple of times, climbing up a snowy hill I wondered why there was cars and 4x4 all parked up as I passed...........then thought "oh this IS good"

Great info added guys. I didn't realise how simple these things were but it also looks difficult to add the diff lock afterwards.

I was under the impression (might be wrong) that the T6 has the fifth gen Haldex coupling.

Correct, but there has not been a newer SSP for the Haldex available.

The Haldex coupling of generation V is characterised primarily by a new pressure control. The hydraulic pressure required for the 4WD coupling is generated by a pump with a centrifugal force controller. This technology has allowed the weight to be reduced compared to generation IV of the 4WD coupling (Haldex) by 1.7 kg.
The control logic in the various driving situations has been taken from generation IV of the 4WD coupling (Haldex), see Self-Study Programme no. 414 "4MOTION with 4WD coupling generation IV"
