907 bottle empty horror...

A word of warning about boot sales; I once bought a canister which the seller assured me was half full.
When I got it home, I discovered it wasn't half full, it was half empty. Wasn't I p!ssed off!
So, you’re a pessimist?!!

Good news, given the initial response of this forums finest contributors we promptly gave up looking for a gas bottle and ate out all day.
This evening's dinner for myself was Chicken Marsala, as the name implies a chicken breast in a creamy marsala wine and garlic sauce with sauteed potatoes the lovely wife partook of Salmon in a cream and pesto sauce, we both tag teamed Easter cake with chocolate gelatto.
Obviously I struggled to drive home with the loss of a testicle and right arm as part payment... sex life will be affected too as that was a good arm but what a splendid meal. Now tell Mr Putin he can stick his gas back up his

I hear you brother Salty but I wrongly described the salmon fishcakes as burgers, served with slivers of carrot and cucumber bathed in balsamic vinegar they're spot on!
Sounds posh....

Guys yesterday I realised my Camping Gaz R904 was almost outta gas for my new fridge :(

They’re are like rocking horse sh*t! None to be had anywhere at all.

purely by accident I stumbled across a company Fosseway Fuels whilst looking for firewood, 100m off the A46 near the Rutland turn off, had a shedload. So I went and bought one from them. They had 12 left but racks of 907’s as well. They also do Coleman but they have had a massive run on them and the 907s are going out the door as well.

Give them try if you’re desperate and passing by.

I was in my local camping store (Attwools, A38 Whitminster) earlier this week and they seemed to have plenty of both sizes in.

Despite what I posted yesterday about ready availability of Campingaz bottles in Attwools, I'm now wondering about my own position as we're about to embark on a months long trip and I've just weighed my 907 to find it's just about a quarter full which is too much to hand back in PX and I don' really fancy splashing out on a 2nd (reserve) bottle (or lugging it around either!). That should be enough for the trip as we don't do an awful lot of boiling / cooking the built in hob but I'm now wondering what the 907 supply situation is in Europe at the moment.

Wallas XC Duo, not cheap to buy but very cheap to run, no planned maintenance required and you’ll never run out of fuel.

I've seen plenty of 907's in the Supermarches in France in the last couple of weeks. I'm currently lugging around a full one just incase my half full one ran out......overcautious

@Ayjay In the day before we had an underslung tank I used to use a combination of 3 907s 1 full one for longer trips and the other 2 for shorter trips so you can use the gas up in the quarter full ones then exchange for new 1 theoretically we always had a full or near full bottle so still only took 1 bottle away your local tip is a good source of free bottles if your nice to them
