The tow bar wiring was partly removed/cut by either AA before it got sent to auction or by someone else (possibly the commercial van centre I bought it from)
All I did was remove the rest of it from under the passenger bench seat (so module and wiring) and then left it for a couple of months on my drive whilst I did other bits. Upon deciding to take it out for a drive, I noticed the van suddenly haulting and then allowing power again. Rocking back and forth between power and brakes applying, it eventually engaged limp mode and only allowed me maybe 5mph. During all of this, the yellow flashing warning light (that looks like a coil??) appeared on the dash.
After AJC kindly came along with VCDS and deactivated the module (from all relevant areas, refer to Deakys post in this thread) all seemed to be OK again!
Hopefully the above doesnt happen to anyone else, its certainly not common but maybe the way my tow bar was cut out by someone, didnt help.
