I've been carpeting mine today and the tailgate has stayed up quite happily. It still has standard Kombi struts and I couldn't get more silent coat in if I tried!

Factory Kombi floorWhat floor carpet is that looks great
Definitely carpet itI’m just doing mine with Custom Design 3.6mm ply panels. The sliding door panel has a sliver of ply at edge, around the rubber push/stopper block. Just pondering whether to carpet it, leave it ply or cut it out?
Any advice anyone? @Absolut5 - what do you do?
regards
Ian
PS perhaps more than a sliver....

Does anyone on here know where I can find material the same as the front cab OEM ceiling cloth? I need to re do the rear passenger roof lining before I sell mine and thought I may as well try to match it up.
We often have owners who have done the sound proofing/insulation then we finish the carpeting etcI'm very new to the forum here, and my jaw is just hitting the deck on this thread. Such good workmanship @Absolut5 !! It's making me fear the DIY attempt i have (read had) been keen to do.
I am fairly confident that i can get the sound deadening, liner and fleecing work done, but i need to source some ply panels (is there a good company out there who supply T6 pre-cut ply?) and then it's the daunting carpeting.....
@Absolut5 do yo like to do the whole insulation and ply installation yourselves before carpeting, or could a customer come to you with a half-baked project (possibly a bloody good effort of a project!! ) and you complete the lining?
Thanks in advance!
