Acc T6

How much does is cost to install acc system into VW T30 2016. In my highline no button on steering wheel and have no sensor. :(

Not aware that anyone has done it yet
If you have a euro 5 vehicle then I don’t believe it’s possible (no facility for auto braking but I could be wrong), Euro 6 should be possible but reckon it will be expensive !
Edd @volksfit I believe is about to have a go at retrofitting one so who knows

That's a good one . . .

It would be ACC and city breaking together.

So you would probably need the front radar and grill. Loom. Steering wheel with the buttons. Stop/start. Etc Etc.

Not seen it done myself yet and HazyDays doesn't have that mod listed either.......

But as @Pauly says if you've got deep pockets then anything is possible with time.

Just to balance out this thread, I have ACC and it's a waste of time on UK roads in my opinion.

It slows you down if someone moves into your lane half a mile away (although adjustable) plus it takes too long to get back up to speed, leaving the drivers behind getting annoyed.
I use cruise control all the time, but deactivate it more than I ever did on previous vans or cars with cruise, simply because the ACC is very restrictive.

ACC is a great invention if you don't drive on roads that are busy, your never in a rush, or you drive like my Granny. (Or @T6180)

That's the polar opposite to my thoughts on ACC, I think it's great and use it far more than cruise control on my previous vehicles.

I do tend to set the ACC to 60 on single carriageway sand 70 on motorways, I'm rarely in a hurry so quite happy for people to chop/change lanes in front of me and then wait for the ACC to take me back up to speed.

But on topic, I reckon the ACC would be hugely expensive, I could think of better things to spend that kind of money on.

Yes I absolutely love ACC. Have it in both my vehicles, use it all the time and wouldn't consider buying a vehicle without it now I've had it. Just perfect for motorways

I think yours must be poorly calibrated because my ACC works brilliantly, it does take a couple of seconds after the car in front pulls in to start accelerating again, but not so anyone behind would notice, it certainly doesn't brake too early, sometimes I feel like the vans playing chicken with me.
I've got mine set to the nearest setting and in sport mode if that helps.

Another plus for ACC here. I use it loads. I find it especially useful in slow moving traffic. I love mine, but then I do drive like a granny

Maybe it's just me. My wife is always saying I'm a control freak, and I never knew what she meant. Maybe now I finally understand.

I don't have it on my van but it was on a Golf I hired a few weeks ago. I did 700 miles in 3 days and I thought the ACC was brilliant. This is an option I would definitely tick if I'm ordering a new vehicle in the future.
Back on Topic, I would be very interested in how much it would cost to retro fit. Mine is a Euro 6 but no sensors.
And just for the scare mongers. I'm led to believe they are working on technology that will allow smart motorways to control your speed through ACC in the not too distant future. You heard it here first folks.

Love my ACC, use it every day on motorways and around town...

saves all the legwork, even with DSG (or am i just being lazy?).

DSG + ACC is a winning combo IMHO.

Just a thought - can you have ACC with a manual gearbox? i thought it was only with DSG (seeing as ACC goes up and down the gears on our DSG?),

But city breaking (uses same radar sensor) was availible on any setup as it only operated the brakes....

Yes it's just the same as ordinary cruise control in that respect, still works just not as useful.

The Mrs has ACC on her golf, its not that good, but imagine it would be ok for roads in europe

Just no need for comments regarding my driving.....im now not your friend :cautious:

I love the ACC,never had cruise control before,I often drive to Cornwall hardly ever touching the pedals, and I don't drive like a granny:D

I’m absolutely gutted about this subject. As I thought I had it on mine when I ordered but haven’t as I got the option choice wrong. It was only £400 to upgrade aswell! I’ve got city braking (not tested) but ACC would of been great for me! So frustrating.

Surely the ACC uses the city braking sensor, so for those of us without it, we'd just need the correct button, and a recode?

And if that is the case, could that be done with VCDS?
