Why buy the ad-blue or the gadget!
Steal a van, drive to a fuel station using false plates stolen from another vehicle, steal the diesel, drive off, drive round till empty, burn van, steal another.
Don’t pay for insurance, tax, or any other of those bureaucratic pieces of c*^p, stick it to the man. That’ll learn em.

Hmmmm, now there's a thought.

......

In addition to the virtual zero cost saving, you run the (admittedly) small risk of prosecution & you don’t get that warm fuzzy feeling inside, knowing that you’re actually making a tiny step to help stop f******g up the planet.

Not to mention, helping to keep Suffolk pig farmers in the business of making bacon.

It’s synthetic these days, but that does open the door for the OP to get around his problem. Buy a pig & go into the AdBlue business.

I know mate. Urea and distilled water. But every once and while it just unleashes the juvenille in me, being able to say pigs piss on a public forum.

Pigs piss, pigs piss........Pigs piss!

There. I've said it. Got my fix for today.

Back to watching University Challenge.

You mean to say that I could have saved meself a small fortune, so far.... And just nicked a load instead? With the bonus of being nice and warm at the end of the day in the glowing embers of a burning T6 and possibly have a full belly of baked spuds to boot?
But where's the fun in that? You can't upgrade a burnt shell!!

I am enjoying this thread immensely but I feel a need to put a point across just in case anyone takes it too seriously.....

I have had a lot of involvement with adblue system faults in a previous job and there is the perception that it is pigs piss or horses piss and whilst it may have an element of truth in it, lets say its heavily refined pigs piss.

The Adblue dosing unit, feed pipe and injector are extremely sensitive to contamination, they are not tolerant of water, fuel or Piss wherever it originated. I can state this with some conviction as I have seen failed systems where we have been openly told that some sort of piss had been put into the system, usually as an emergency supply - it’s funny until someone gets a £3k bill for the repair. (Not VW pricing)

Anyway, let the piss taking continue, just dont put it into your Adblue tank because that is only funny in the short term.

Well, my interest was well & truly piqued, I’d never heard of such a device. A quick google search indicates that they start at around £199 & run close to £2k depending on model. Assuming that one for a T6 is at the cheaper end of the scale, let’s do some simple maths.....
5000 miles worth of adblue costs around a tenner. This is assuming you’re paying top whack for a fancy 10l plastic can & not paying half the price it’s available for at the pump.
So £200 quid (the cost of the cheapest emulator, assuming that we can get one for the T6, knowing our luck it would cost twice that) would buy us 100000 miles worth of AdBlue.

So not the right time to mention that I'm following an Ad Blue truck down the A41 and my imagination is hanging out the window filling a pot from the tap at the back whilst were driving.... James Bond meets Robin Blind! :p

Mad Max II springs to mind...

I just want to add a little reminder to this thread that all views and opinions related to T6/forum topics are allowed and should be respected, agreeing or disagreeing with things is fine but just because someone may disagree does not mean others will so please let’s keep this courteous and on point

Unless I’ve misunderstood his posts, the guy is a self confessed criminal. He didn’t pay road tax for years in order to help fund his T6 purchase. I wonder what other inconvenient rules & regs he decided were unnecessary, insurance, MOT???
He is now seeking advice on a public forum on how to further break the law by disabling a legally required emissions control device.
Personally I think he’s been shown more courtesy & respect than he deserves.

All my personal opinion of course.

I don’t disagree with you/your point, I just feel this thread is heading south so thought maybe a quick note would stop that before moderators need to step in, regardless of the content personal insults and piss taking is not really on.

I will reiterate that if any member is upset or has a reason to dispute a post, or think a post needs to be looked at by a moderator or admin, then please use the report button at the bottom of the post and it will be reviewed by someone and actioned as necessary.

Good point, very well made.

This thread has now been cleaned and several posts removed, we cannot discuss illegal devices and tax avoidance etc on the forum
I will leave the thread intact for future visitors but it has now been locked
