AdBlue Range 6000 miles

Message appeared on the MFD stating AdBlue Range 6000 miles. Don't recall this being there before, at least not all the time. Should it be?
Also, assumed it needed topping up so added more and have since read this can cause problems. Should I be concerned?

Have you read the manual? It will tell you how it works.

Is it a 6.1? If so some of those have a bigger adblue tank so you would be ok as long as you only put a bit in. If it’s a T6 then you may well have overfilled it. Keep driving and see what happens over the next 2000 miles. It should be coming down by then.

Always top up between the figures it tells you to and follow the instructions in the manual about the ignition.

Great thanks for that. Do you know though if the AdBlue Range message should always be there?

Not sure on a 6.1. The T6 is available to view on the MFD at any time by cycling through the options, but as it gets to about 1500 mile range to go it then pops up every time you start and you have to scroll off it. Maybe the 6.1 with a larger tank does similar but from 6000 miles to go. Your manual will tell you (available online if you’ve not got a paper one).

Same for 6.1... well, the cycling through on the MFD is the same. Not got down to 1500 miles yet, so that's an unknown for me.
