I had a search and could not find an answer, so hope this isn't a stupid question.
My new Aguti swivel seat bases which I recently fitted, are really good, they don't lock when facing in reverse. is there a legal reason for this?
The bases are excellent with really nice lazy susan solid bearings, there is no slop in the swivel motion or when fixed forward.
The rear lock position is there but it's blocked by a metal element which could easily be chopped off so they do lock in reverse, I don't want to just do this though if it isn't legal or a valid reason for it.
