Public service announcement - swivel bases

I’m looking at a getting a pair of Sportscraft swivels. On the Jennings website they sell both passenger / driver for leisure battery and no leisure battery. Price is the same.

Can anyone advise the physical difference between the two types. Undecided where the spare battery is going so wondered if any problem buying two leisure battery type?

I think the battery swivel is slightly taller (35mm) than the non (28mm) - presumable to give the additional clearance over a "standard" battery

I bought the sportscraft from Jennings recently, service and dispatch time etc were spot on. Whilst a fair bit less movement than the Rusty Lee it replaced (and no noise) there is still some wobble, and i can still feel it whilst being a passenger. Not enough for me to want to take it back out.

As said, the physical difference between the two will just be height to get over the battery.

I will have a sportscraft swivel for sale next week. I bought it from Jennings (they are a great shop). It’s a great swivel.

I’m only changing as I’ve now got custom seat bases and custom seats and combined everything is slightly too high with the swivel installed.

If anyone is interested, DM me. I’ll add the advert/post next week.
Did you sell Sportcraft seat swivel in the end?

I am looking at either sportscraft or RIB.

The things I am considering is...

Height increase.

Height adjustment hitting any obstructions like levers etc.

Handbrake positioning, are mods required.

Base rear plastic cover modifications.

Most importantly feeling solid with no rocking as the other things can be modified.

What are the pros and cons of both who those of have either or work with them for conversions.
