All your doing @Polzeylad is going for a dulled even surface with the 1500, then wash down panel, change water (better still use a spay bottle as well), go over 1500 area and a bit more with the 3000, and dry it, you will see a semi shine.. Then a bit of G3 on a damp cloth in circular motions and you will get a shine.. Then clean that up and use a new soft cloth with the finesse it, finally wax the bonnet..
