hi mate cargo vector4 at Costco £ 108 ( used and liked ) swapped to cross climates not used yet hope I like them:thumbsup:

My Nokian Weatherproofs are impressing me after about 5,000 miles, quiet and smooth, very grippy in the wet. Too early to talk about longevity.

Hi mate I got a deal for 5 at camskill very good service from these guy's and quick delivery too. Went with Michelin x climates suv as I have a t32. Had x climates on my old s6 quattro and they were very very good.

I haven’t tried the Nokian and Continental but the Cargo Vectors are great tyres. I can sometimes go offroad so I like the ‘van‘ tyre.
See below regarding milage, stock T32 suspension, 180PS driven fairly gently.

Well I’ve recently got rid of the tyre hum (Cargo Vector M&S) so looking forward to loosing a bit more engine noise after doing the scuttle.
I wouldn’t change my Cargo Vectors, they maybe a bit noisy but they stick to the road like glue and I’ve just got 41K miles out of one pair, the other pair still have approx‘ 10-15K to go.

41 Thousand miles!!! That's fantastic, I'd stick with that tyre then.

41K on the front pair, switched rears to the front, from the tread depth I should get 51 - 56K from that pair.
Bonus is that there seems to be steady supply of Devonports with almost new Cargo Vectors that cost about the same as the tyres alone. Buy them and sell the wheels when the tyres are close to minimum.

I’ve had cross climates and they were good. I've got the Nokian’s now and looking forward to seeing how long they last - but v impressed. I have BFG’s on my wrangler and they are much noisier - but then so is the wrangler.....

I've got Cross Climates at the moment and they've been good in general use but pretty hopeless in snow. Long life is abslutely my lowest priority, I only do c8000 miles a year and would be quite happy changing every two years. I'm tempted to go for AT tyres next time, but after grip my next priority is noise so I'm not sure. Might try the Nokians next as many on here seem pleased with them

Time is approaching to replace my tyres on the factory 17" Devonports - currently fitted with Goodyear Cargo Vector 2's

My proposed replacements:
  • Nokian Weatherproof (£100)
  • Continental All Season (£120)
  • Goodyear Cargo Vector 2 (£140)
I'm looking for longevity and quietness, plus the benefits that an all season tyre provides. The Nokian and Conti are SUV tyres in 235/55/17 the Goodyear is Van rated and 215/60/17 all are load rated for a T32.

Advice and opinions welcomed.

TIA Paul
Hi - forgive my ignorance - new on here. I’ve just bought some Devonports with delivery miles - Contivan 215/60/17 104H for my T32. When it comes to replacement 235/55/17 are a safe option are they? Thought I’d have to be sticking with 215/60/17. Cheers, Mike

Devonports can come from the factory with either size. Mine came with 215/60 and I changed a year ago to 235/55. Just make sure the load rating of whatever you get is high enough for a T32

Thanks for the reply - good to know. And yes, nothing less than 104H right?

Thank you all for your contributions, first choice will be to find another set of Devonports with nearly new Goodyear’s, otherwise a set of Michelin’s in 235/55/17 to go on my current wheels.

Can I ask generally - 215 v 235 options for Devonports - pros / cons to both? Cheers, Mike
In my case, the only difference in feel was being able to run the tyres at lower pressure which gave a bit more comfort. No difference in handling that I could tell. Slightly better looks with more width.

Interesting. I’m running these 215s as per the sticker on the vehicle - 52 front, 46 rear as not carrying weight. Do you reckon even with these tyres I could drop pressure a bit? Ps - any effect on your speedo going to 235?

My speedo was slightly more accurate after fitting the 235s. I run 42 front and rear which I’ve found feels best after much experimentation.
