Have the original Davenport 17" (with original Conti) and some Momo 18" running Bridgestone Turanza summer. Intention being to swap between them, though in reality for the last 2 years I've just run the 18". Find that the Turanza are a great tyre for comfort economy but longevity isn't so good as only getting around 12k to 14k. Now need to change them and also need new ones on the Devonports.
So looking at the following options:
- Pick up a set of nearly new Dav's with tires up for around £500. (Possible similar cost to new tires but would only give the std summer tires fitted by VW. Would then replace with the same Truranza summer on the Momo)
- Get some all weather / winter tires for the Dav's and replace the with the same Truranza summer on the Momo" (largest cost but gives both options).
- Get some all weather for the Momo (Concern here is that the economy wont be as good as majority of mileage during summer months).
Thought's / comments welcome....
Forgot to say so all UK driving and only handful of camping trips a year at present, mainly daily driving and carrying the bike to teh forest.
