Alpine 11 Halo

Hi All,

Just installing an Alpine Halo 11 in my T6.1, am I right in thinking there is a GPS connector behind the door card / mirror on the drivers side that I can connect to for the Halo instead of using the GPS receiver that came with the head unit?

If so what cable do I need?

I had the Halo 9 fitted by @Dav-Tec along with dead doors & gladen speaker upgrade, really happy with it.

I preferred the 9” so it didn’t encroach on the air vents but that’s personal choice

Halo is about the best, as it retains the Oe mic, sits nicer on the dash compared to its rivals and great powerful sound

It is 100% correct you can do this with the Alpine interface

It's best to use the supplied GPS antenna and install it behind the passenger-side A-pillar, positioned at the bottom.

Am i right in saying that it's only "apple carplay" that uses the stereo gps and "andriod auto" uses the phones gps?

Yes it connects to it automatically

Thanks, glad I won’t have to run the alpine mike and have it clipped by the mirror .
