I installed the Alpine kit today.
Door cards came out easily but I broke a few clips.
I got several large sheets of deaden behind the middle door card onto the skin of the door.
I did this by undoing most of the bolts on the middle card and got behind it with my hands and also through the speaker hole.
It’s a nice kit to install. Very plug and play.
I didn’t go mad with deaden on the middle card, just enough to stop the hollow sound when tapping it.
Sound quality is not mind blowing, but definitely an improvement from the standard speakers. More punch to the bass and you can definitely hear more of the highs from the tweeters. Overall sounds more defined with better bass and clearer highs.
I have standard headunit and have treble below a quarter, mids at 2 clicks under half and bass 3 clicks up from half.
I only listed to rock and blues and from my quick sound check, it works fine.
I really like the tweeter grills.
