My experience has been. From a stock T6 (non nav) dab head unit and speakers. This was a pretty awful sound by any measure.
First step: install the 8” Alpines and hope (knowing it was pointless) that would be the end of it.
The sound was better. But revealed how poor the source was - especially for the 8” door speakers.
Step 2: install the Alpine 705 head unit. Same amp as the iPad Halo units.
Another step forward and almost tolerable result. With some eq tweaks and the right source music it can pack a punch. But still the head unit struggles to drive those 8” speakers.
So step 3 is coming and I’ve been talking today with @Absolut5 about an amp and 10” subwoofer.
Please tell me that will be the end of it and there can be no step 4, 5… don’t worry I know the answer already.
