Aluminium or Plastic Front Grille Trims

Hi, looking for some advice.

I've bought some aluminium front grille and wing mirror trims for my T6 from this Van Style range

Red Edition 2-Piece - Front Grille Lower Trim - VW T6 2015 - Vanstyle

Going to paint them so thought the paint would take better to the aluminium than the plastic but only realised once they arrived that the grille trims are stick on rather than clip on.

Thinking I might have been better ordering the plastic ones to avoid these ones falling off at some point. Thoughts?

So long as the surface is properly prepared and clean, the 3M tape is usually very good at staying put.

Thanks for the reply, I've had a good look at the aluminium trims now and they seem like really good quality so going to keep them and fit to the van.
