Hello
I am thinking of buying some alloy wheels on my van and found some Amarok 16" ones.
I have read the whole topic, and someone complained about Amarok 16" rim hitting the brake caliper (because he had bigger calipers)
How do I know if I have big(ger) brake calipers?
Mine is a 2017, T29, 102 hp CXGB engine. Came with 16" steel wheels
Will the Amarok alloys fit my van? Or should I buy something else
If your van came with 16” steels you’ll be fine with the 16” alloys…. should be a straight swap. T32’s have the bigger brakes and would have come on 17” steels.

I bought the wheels, but I needed spacers, else it would hit in the wheel bearing housing.
Amarok wheels came with ET 62, my steel one have ET 51
20 mm wheel spacers fixed it (even less could have fixed it) :D

So after a bit of research I opted for a second hand set of Amarok alloys. New tyres are 235/55r18.
I thought about 60 profile but the 11% increase in size over standard I suspect would've made it a bit slow and 60 profile is a tight fit.
I also considered Range rover alloys but didnt want the hassle with spiggots, new bolts and possibly spacers.
The Amarok alloys fit perfectly and the difference in tyre size is offset by the slightly different wheel offset.
no rubbing, the tyres don't stick out and there really is very little noticable lack of performance, these work out to approx 4.5% larger wheel diameter overall. I think if you stay under the 5% it all but makes little difference.
The bonus is, my speedo is corrected to within 2kms an hour. Most modern cars have ambitious speedos, check with gps to confirm yours. Previously at 100 indicated I was doing about 92. Now at an indicated 100 my gps reads 98.
Happy with the look too, standard springs, not lowered. 2016 250 runner, not chipped either.

Anyone fitted these 20” Nazare Amarok wheels to their van?

Hi quick Q I’ve got my eye on some Amarok aspen 16” wheels with 245 70 16 tyres and an ET62 offset for my t32 (tyres come t111 xxl load rated). Anyone had any experience fitting these. I’ve done a compare (below). My T32 has the smaller front brakes (no idea why) and came with 16” steels originally. Ideally I want a straight swap with no spacers.

*currently on devonports hence the 17” wheel comparison and on standard springs.

T32 brakes are a myth. They are optional on vans supplied with 17 inch wheels and standard (I think) on the higher powered models.
Lots of T32's came with smaller brakes (308mm). Also, the larger brakes (340mm) dont fit under a 16 inch wheel.
I can't comment on fitment but, if your van came on 16's then the speedo will be calibrated slightly differently to a van that came on Devonports, for example. As 16's tend to wear smaller diameter tyres than standard 17's your speedo error will be over 10%. Normally, around 6% will still read close to the actual speed as the standard calibration over reads a little from the factory. At 10% it will read a few mph less than you're actually doing.

Hi
I have fitted Amarok wheels on my T6.
Mine came with the small brakes too (308mm)
Unfortunately, it isn’t a straight swap, you will need spacers or else the wheel will hit the wheel bearing housing. (Check my previous posts on this thread)
I did with 20 mm spacer (even less would be suffice)
Amarok alloy’s are ET 62 and steel 16” are ET 51

That’s really strange. Out of everyone who has fitted Amarok wheels you are the only person I have ever seen comment they are not a straight fit. Out of interest do you know the name on those Amarok wheels?

Aspen 16”.
Tbh my suspension setup on T6 is a bit weird, because I have the 16" wheels and smaller brakes but have the heavier suspension setup. (I almost ordered the wrong suspension because of this)
The wheel would hit this part
