Interestingly I have a t6.1 (T30) with 16 inch steel wheels. I got some Amarok 17 inch Aldo alloys and I need (probably 3mm( spacers so that they clear the brake calipers. They rub on the front part of the calipers.

This is them on with the original 245/65x17 tyres that came with them, prior to realising I needed the spacers.

Are your tyres standard size? Or are they larger?

In the photo they are the the 245/65 x 17 tyres that came with the wheels. I am intending to put 235/55 x 17 tyres on them though. Here in NZ they will fail a warrant of fitness (MOT in UK speak) if tyres are more than 5% bigger than standard.

VW Amarok - a 4x4pickup made by VW?

Amarok wheels - basic steel wheels that you never see on an Amarok?!! Wtf broseph

What I want to know - are there some nice ish looking factory fitted VW 4x4 style wheels that I assume you could take from an Amarok and put on a T6?

Imagine some beefed up Clayton's with some acceptably attractive off-road tyres. Nothing tooooo fancy. Just something that tells you "this T6 is offroady looking and I'm enjoying it."

Little help please?

Thanks.

I believe that the Amarok and the Transporter have the same PCD, if that's what you're asking.

Anymore VW factory alloys that look a bit more offroady/4x4ish than the Cantera?

Apologies in advance, I know absolutely nothing about wheels etc, just want to look cool.

Damn I just saw this response. I'm liking the way these wheels look and I've got the same van as yours T30 T6.1.

Will the wheels fit without spacers on standard 235/55/r17 tyres?

Yes nice wheels, but unfortunately they don't clear the brake callipers. I didn't really get to check whether the larger original Amarok tyres would not rub on anything, but think they would have been ok.

I am now looking at some Posadas which I have confirmed will fit ok without interfering with the brake callipers.

Oh right! Damn yeah nah I’m not keen on having to deal with spacers etc haha

Maybe I’ll look into something else that’s a straight swap. Thank you for getting back to me.

Hello again - can I just check if you’ve got the standard or big brakes? I’ve got the standard ones on my van

I have standard 308mm front brakes. I think 17 inch wheels are required for bigger brakes anyway.
