Found An Enduro Style Mtb ?

I am looking for a full suspension used mountain bike for my 14 yr old son.
I know alot on here are into their mountain bikes also so I thought I would ask ?
Preferably something in medium with 27.5" wheels max budget of around £750/800 not to far from Northamptonshire if possible.
Sounds like an easy ask but we have been looking now since Christmas !
The only things that seem to be about are from Halfords or sold in minutes

Its worth checking with Rutland Cycles as they sometimes do cracking deals on old stock.

I think you'll be very hard pressed to get a mainstream med 650b full suss in decent condition with some life left for £800. That price bracket would equate to around a 2015/16 26er".

Generally, bikes lose about 50% . So a reasonable rule of thumb for a used bike (that isn't wrecked / out of date or needs a major refurb / new parts) is look at list price and work back from there.

I think some of the YT full suss alloy 650's were around the £2,500 point new .... so maybe look at YT's. As has already been said. Look on Pinkbike.com and Ebay but be careful out there, or you could end up spending the same again to 'fix' a used bike. I've seen some proper horror stories

Fits your spec but I'm in the NE of Scotland...

What about a calibre bossnut from gooutdoors ? selling at £1100 , but you can get an extra 10% with a camping & caravanning club card or bluelight etc .
A wee bit above budget but new & decent spec / reviews

I have a trek Ex8 I’ve hardly used it tbh it’s in nearly new condition if your interested I can get some pics. It’s a medium frame.

I have an Orange Five that might be interesting - its a large frame, 650b. It's a 2015 Mk1 - they changed the frame slightly in the year.

I've just had a knee Op so don't want to risk more damage, so plan to stick to the hard tail for the forseeable. If you are interested I can dig out the spec.
