Another sliding door issue - it won't open at all

Hi

I've had a good read of the sliding door threads and can't see one with my particular issue, so I hope someone can help.

2018 T6 panel van. 50k miles.

The sliding door is shut, and won't open with either the outside or inside handles. The door open warning light is showing. I can't open it at all. I've done the disconnect the battery check, and that hasn't reset anything. Is there a way to just open the door from this situation so that I can further investigate?

Thanks

I suspect a Bowden cable problem possibly to at the bottom roller area. You'll probably need to take the door panel off inside to investigate.

Hi Rod. Forgive me as I have just joined the group and am not familiar with how it works. I wondered if you could shed any light with how I can get my t6.1 sliding door open. Ahead of cutting out the roof for a pop top I taped up everything to avoid metal particles compromising parts of the van, this included the male and female points on the sliding door mechanism. Stupidly I did not remove the tape when I locked it overnight I now cannot open the door with either the outside or the inside handle. Any ideas?

My only suggestion is that you remove the door trim/card and investigate the linkage within the door. Sorry I cannot be of any more assistance than that.
