Anyone used PlyGuys/Piggl?

PlyGuys kit is great quality. You can't compare it to VanFurniture stuff. I visited the farm last week and I've booked in. I deliberated for too long and it was only after getting some second hand PlyGuys kit that I realised how good it was. Lead times are a few months but that's for a reason

I’ll second that!!

Excellent thanks for info. I’ve ordered some kit from them for a September bill them deliver. Great people to chat to
They're great guys to meet to! I got to look around the workshops and meet the team and I blagged some beer! They have a local brewery that does batch runs and brands up some beer for them.

I eventually took the plunge and bought a Piggl bed. I’m really pleased with the practicality it offers and with the bed in the sleeping position, I can get 2 bike bikes in the van with room to spare!

Hi,

Did you ever get any feedback re these products, I have only just found out about the Piggl bike bed, it looks like a great product?

cheers
It’s really good, I love it but need a slightly different option because of work so selling mine. It’s lost on here and FB

Hi all,

Just looking to replace my juice design bed (like exploria) and am rather taken by the ply guys torridon kit rather than swap for an Ovano switch XL.

It will be going in a lwb shuttle which will narrow the foot space a little. Anything I should be considering in addition to the standard unequal benches and upholstery? Any smarter ways to squeeze more in behind the two outer seats I’ll leave in the second row?

Thanks

With the shuttle you can only get one side of the torridon or schiehallion if you still have the interior panels. I have the torridon unit. They make it with a little more of a cut out to fit the shuttle panel.
Have a look at their website as they are developing more units all the time.

I'm going through the same dilemma at the moment between the Piggl and PlyGuys. @davecdjt can you access the Torridon from the top whilst inside the van? I can't imaging poking shopping bags through the doors on the front and if it's piddling down I don't have to have to slide it out of the tailgate. Their website looks nice but they miss out on some informative pics/info. Cheers.

Edit: I don't suppose anyone on the thread with either Piggl or PlyGuys is at Busfest this weekend?

Sadly I’ll not be at Busfest, though happily I’ll be on holiday rather than working. There is some access through the top. See the photos I’ve just taken as a guide. Hopefully the first two pictures will give you a clue as to how much space there is between slats.
You can reach through as long as you don’t have the drawer cover in place. I have two with my setup so you could pack the drawers to leave the compartments free that you want access to. The last photo shows the drawer pulled out half way.
We have a tailgate so opening the drawer in the wet is less of an issue. We try to organise what we keep where so as not to need to access that drawer until we’re up. I think the Torridon unit has had some development since mine. Try speaking to them if you have any unique requirements, they do there own CAD drawings and cut from those so nothing is impossible.

That's brilliant. Thanks for taking the time to take the pictures. Really appreciate it

@Cupotea just to add another option with the Plyguys setup, I went for the Schiehallion instead of the Torridon paired with a Clachan unit as i wanted good access to the stuff inside from inside the van. That said you dont get the slide out unit to use as a surface to cook on and packing needs to be a little more thought out but seems to work well for me so far. I did look at the Assynt as an option as i liked the look of both sides being equal but actually having used the setup having one side larger than the other for me is really comfortable, I'm not sure id be as comfortable sitting on a shorter width seat.

We stopped in on The Ply Guys on Friday on our way to Aberfeldy. My wife wasn’t able to come with me when I had the van fitted out. They’re busier than ever. :)

I have a LWB shuttle, with the Piggl bed and it has served me very well for a couple of years, I have just splashed out on an exploria camper, so…. I am selling the piggl bed system, with the mattress, and the stove top table, we are up in Deeside, the NE of Scotland, and could deliver within Scotland, for an excuse for a last weekend away, can thoroughly recommend the piggl system, I have pals who have the ovanu, and that suits them well, but I have really appreciated my piggl and it’s versatility, £1000, if collected, which is 50% of new price, 2018 LWB shuttle also for sale, cannot justify two vans….

I've done a quick search but can't find mention of these 2 companies on the forum.
We're looking for a removable bed for the van preferably one that folds up into a seat for lounging about on when the bed isn't out. And also has pull out drawers that can be used as a kitchen out the back of the tailgate.

This from Plyguys looks good but it isn't floor mounted so I would be worried about it moving or rattling during transit.
Cuillin Adventurer | The Ply Guys

I also like the look of this from Piggl which has the advantage of being able to slot the bikes in it. This one fixes to the floor also.
Piggl BIKE-BED for Volkswagen Transporter Campervan Conversions

Anybody used either of these companies??
Ta.
hi mate what you have van or crew van

I’m thinking of getting some of the Ply Guys stuff, I’m wondering if there is anyone near to Ledbury (HR8) with some installed I could have a look at?

We’re in Swindon, SN5. That’s not too far from you. I’ve a couple of posts in this thread with photos of our van with the Ply Guys stuff fitted.
