Hello,

I have these items;

Audison SR5.600 AMP

sr5.600 & hertz front l&r with crossover and hertz dual cone

Hertz Mille Pro MPK163.3 3 Way kit (front pillars and door speakers, 6 total)
Hertz Mille Pro MPX165.3 2 Way kit (2x rear speakers)
1 x Subwoofer

I understand the wiring and powering of the amp. I have ran 2x 25mm2 cable from the battery to the amp under the driver seat.
Speakers are wired with QED 2.5mm2 Silver coated wires.

My confusion is how to connect this amp to the console.

1 - does it connect to the existing amp?
2 - does it connect directly to the console?
3 - is the existing amp now redundant and can be removed?

I believe a wiring loom is required. But not sure where to start, although i've spent a decent amount of time browsing and trying to understand! Anybody have some decent instructions? A link to the loom? advice on the questions above?

Greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards,

I’ve got the little brother of this. If your head unit has pre outs (rca connectors), use those, if not you need to run speaker cables from the head unit to the Audison DSP/amp and use the high level inputs.

As far as a loom, not sure, I made my own audio cables.

Drop us a pm and il go through couple options , diagrams on how to wire it up

What do you mean by console?

Head unit?

Does it have RCA outputs or speaker outputs only?

Basically, I believe I need a harness to wire from the headunit to the high level inputs. After market speakers with then be wired from the out terminals with upgraded speakers wires.

I am just not sure how wire from the headunit to the high level inputs.

4 channels, FL, FR, RR, RL & sub.

If you have an OEM head unit then the speaker outputs come from a module behind the glove box I think. It will have a quadloc connector. You can either cut the original speaker wires and extend them from the quadloc to your amp or buy an adaptor to fit between the module and the quadloc to give you the necessary connections.

Something like this VW T6 & T6.1 Quadlock Harness To Add Amp / Sub & Rear Speakers

Thank you. So in the quadlock there should be 12 output pins for the front, rear and sub high level inputs

No, there won’t be a sub output.

You can select on the amp between having a sub input to the amp creating it’s own sub channel.

image.jpgSo these 4 wires on the orange block must be the fronts, and missing 4 are the backs. So i need 8 wires coming out from here to the amp?
