Best online shops & tailgate storage?

Hello, just bought our first T6, very excited. A few questions, which are the best online shops to look for gadgets and accessories please? Also, I want to make a free standing table, will the tailgate be strong enough to attach it to for travelling?

Welcome to the Forum @nellynoo and good luck with your new Venture. if you look through the site you will see loads of names of suppliers where the guys get their kits from... you might want to join the forum.. it opens up even more information on you van ... there is a wealth of knowledge. What some of these guys know about T6s is amazing
the trade guys in here get very good reports and have a lot of respect and trust and freely give advise. The others are from so many different trades and occupations .... someone will help or give advise

First T6, exciting times ahead!!

The tailgate panel is only a thin hardboard and doesn't take much weight, so you would be better off replacing the panel with a ply panel instead, or at least adding some ply behind the hardboard in the areas in which you'll be fixing the brackets to secure the table. Once the table is mounted, you may find the tailgate doesn't stay open, or at least fully open. If that's the case you may want to upgrade the gas struts to some stronger ones to help with the extra weight of the table.

These are all things we can do for you at the cave, along with a whole host of other mods, although we don't have an on line shop. Just send us a direct message if you have any specific requirements, or in the meantime, have a look through this thread for some examples of our work.

We do all sorts to help you get your van exactly how you want it: Suspension, wheels, exterior styling, sound deadening, insulation, carpet lining, 12v and 240v electrics, audio, retrofits and more. We use the best products from the best manufacturers and all work is carried out to extremely high standards.
