I’ve had a search and can’t find any info on the best route in a van that’s fully converted with the kitchen, high kitchen units and pop top.
I’d rather get some advice before I start removing panels etc.
I don’t know whether to go up or down with it.
It’s a LWB with barn doors.
Anyone done this with a similar set up ?

If it's just for reversing visibility might be worth trying a cheap wireless kit from eBay to test if you need to wire front to back at all?

Obviously not as useful if you're fitting a rear dash cam...

Thanks. I’ve already bought the pioneer camera to go with the new pioneer head unit

I had a similar issue albeit with a dash cam and a SWB tailgate van (I got the reversing cam fitted with the conversion). I decided as it was coming from the rear view mirror area to keep it high and went inside the roof lining in the front to b pillar to the high level cabinets above the sink. Then out the back at the top and into the tailgate.

Yours is coming from the dash I guess so is going down along the central channel to the drivers seat, b pillar, into the kitchen cabinets through them and out the back best?
I couldn’t get access inside the NSR panel but if you can then you can go all down the near side quite easily (under steps etc) then I guess this would come out near the near side rear door so it could be fitted in the number plate holder.

Thanks for your replies guys. I’m taking my van up to my pals today who’s got a big cracking garage and we’re going to fit my new headlights, bonnet and bumper DRLs and a fog light kit.
So will have a good look today to see what the best route is going to be.

Did you ever sort this? I have the same issue in a barn door that’s already been carpeted and the NS panels have not been done individually - just completely covered over in one piece.

Nope I’ve still not fitted the reverse camera yet.
I’ve got a big power upgrade ready to install so need to run a cable from the big new lithium battery in the kitchen to the starter battery. So will try run the camera cable at the same time.
I think it’s just going to be a case if removing as many panels as you can then play it by ear.

Ok thanks. I’m looking at the Autovox v5 rear view mirror dash cam setup as it would solve several issues. But routing to the rear NS barn door feels impossible! I think I can get into the void above the sliding door but not sure if that void extends down to the rear lighting cluster or not - I can’t see any other grommet access points. It must have been done before!

I’m sure I read a post about routing the cable into the rear door.
Like you seems a bit daunting

Yeah @Dellmassive explanation seems the best match. But I couldn’t quite decipher if it’s really possible to pull rod up from the rear light loom grommet, up to the top corner and somehow into the void that the poptop sits on and runs all the way to the B and A pillar. Surely there’s all kinds of different skins involved? If it can be done - which would be amazing but feels unlikely - how the hell to get round the 90 degree bend at the top of the d pillar, through any panel hole and hopefully to a point that I could access through the holes for led down lights ??! Might need some 3rd party help but can’t afford professional install costs - maybe just to pull the cables only.
