Black Friday: Deals & What Have You Bought?

As a serial wildcamper & hiker, I've had my fair share of 'top brand' jackets (insert Rab, Mountain Equipment, Alpkit, etc).
I can honestly say the Regatta' stuff is excellent. Possibly the best waterproof & breathable jackets I've worn. Excellent value.

I have an Ooni wood pellet fired one….I had misgivings but my young lad went all woke and didn’t want a gas one! I’m glad I gave into him.

Portable enough to take camping but watch out for green-eyed looks from your fellow campers. Great fun for the kids and once you’ve taught them how to use it, you can kick back with a sundowner as they make your supper!!!

But do you make your own pizza dough?

Was there a quote for a gearbox printed on the back of the dyno report?

Ha ha, yeah, I was thinking that but they've got a very good reputation and I trust them that the gearbox will be able to handle the torques.

I bought a set of new wheels & tyres from a popular supplier who was doing a Black Friday offer.
Had them delivered about a month ago and they have been sat in garage waiting for me to find time to fit. Eventually got round to it today but when I went to fit I noticed all the balancing weights on all wheels had literally fallen off. No noticable marks on the wheel to suggest where they were stuck so abandoned fitting. Emailed the supplying company and their response was ‘get them rebalanced locally’. Bit of a cheek I think. Guessing polish on wheel stopped the weights sticking properly

They are right but may also be wrong!

Right: who would trust a mail-order wheel balancing!

Maybe wrong: did they sell them as balanced? If so, they ought to pick up the cost of your rebalancing the wheels!!!
