Ohhh, they’re nice. Bet they weren’t cheap

Yes indeedy .... the secret's out ..... research suggested McGard were the best quality. Both in terms of the locking nut itself and the longevity of the black nitride coating on the bolt set.

The cheapest I found them was here and they arrived nicely packed by courier in 3 days : Wheel Nuts & Wheel Bolts from Performance Alloys.com® The Alloy Wheel Experts™

The absolute best thing to do is ring the sales team. Tell them exactly your T6 model, your exact rim make and size and whether you run spacers. They have systems which then tell you the right size to order. If you know the size they will check their systems come up with the same answer. Their service and knowledge was outstanding

These are the complete McGard wheel bolt set including locking nut. It's easy to find McGard locking nuts online but not so easy to find a full set of matching bolts and locking bolts for 4 wheels, which McGard do sell as a package. This place sells the package for £150. I saw it vary anywhere from that up to £200 in some shops. Make sure you are clear you want the black set as they do a shiny chrome as well.

Can I ask what thread length you have bought?
Really pleased to see that link sells the bolts individually - I already have a set of McGard 'locking' bolts.

Standard are M14 x 1.5 x 34 with the loose collar.

There is a bit of leeway as there are differences between steels and alloys. Slightly longer would be better than shorter.
@Shredder do you have an actual order code for the kit?

If it helps, the McGard bolt set product code that fits my specific set up is : 67242SUB (which I recall are 39mm's)

As I said in my earlier post, anyone interested just needs to ring them with the full info on their own particular set up and Performance Alloys will tell them which kit to order. That's what I did too, as I didn't know what fitted either.

Cheers

Loz ... you've ruined a thread on black chrome jewellery ;)

Finish looks remarkably smooth in the photo though .... Hammerite Satin ?? Perhaps the problem might come when you actually have to tighten and loosen the bolt and it chips or marks ??

Unfortunately, given my past experience, I doubt that the finish will survive the first installation cycle....
But kudos to you for the DIY

You were correct;
the mark I version (Hammerite) dragged a bit, mark II (Engine lacquer) chipped off first use but Mark III...

The most cheaparsed yet, permanent Sharpie, these really work and can be touched up in situ :) and better still they end up Blackberry colour against the black wheels..

I now have a new version of "Cheaparse® black wheel bolts" using Autoglym black dye spray. my next mod is to create a cardboard mask with 5 holes so I can just hold it over the wheel and spray the bolts in situ.

All the years I've been dealing with Autoglym, I didn't even know they did a Black dye spray. What is it even meant for?
