Bluetti Charger 1 Or Ecoflow 800w Charger Output Cable Specifications Question.

Hi Folks,

Looking to install a Bluetti Charger 1 or an Ecoflow 800w Charger, I cant decide which one to get, the connection plugs put me off the Ecoflow and I am not even sure if its compatible with my Bluetti AC70 or EB55 which both use XT60 connectors. Anyone got experience with either of these ?

But the main question I have is: Due to the way my vehicle is set up the only place I can install the above chargers is under the passenger seat, then run a custom made Output cable terminating in an XT60 plug to the rear of the van to supply my AC70, (about 3m)

I was wondering if there is a minimum specification for either models Output Cable ?

The supplied output cable with the Bluetti solar connectors is woefully short and the cable seems to be very small section I guess to be around 1mm -16A. And the Ecoflow also looks short and has these odd connectors at the charger end which I will never manage to fish through the cable duct I have run under the floor.

The cables supplied with the EcoFlow are about 5m long and are in a sheath together.
I cut about 4m off it and put new connectors on it so I didn’t have a huge coil of spare cables
The cables are chunky too I’d guess 16mm

That’s them coming in from the top.
They had ring connectors on the opposite end from the plug that you would manage to feed through.

That sounds like the Input cables from the Vans Battery to the Ecoflow, its the specs of the Output cable from the Charger to the PowerStation that I am curious about ?

Ah that’s only short about 1m and has a plug on either end.
You would have to sit the power pack quite close to the charger

The ecoflow charger is specific to the ecoflow power station and can't be used on anything else.

I'm fairly sure the bletti one is also bespoke

I thought the Ecoflow would be specific to their Powerstations hence the odd plugs on the charger end.
looking at the Bluetti Charger 1 Pdf you can add Custom Voltages up to maximum 10Amp 56v by using the App, so you could essentially use it with Ecoflow, Atom or any other Powerstations that use XT60, DC7909 or Aviation connectors according to the manual, so it appears to be very flexible.

Interesting video @Dellmassive, I have just watched another of his videos on the Bluetti.
Ok so thats is the Ecoflow Charger out of the running ! Back to the Bluetti Charger 1.

I am no electrician in any shape or form ! but by looking at the Charger 1 Spec sheet, would it be possible to manufacture my own Output cable from standard 16.5Amp cable and crimp/solder on an XT60 connector instead of using the supplied solar connector ?
Or do I need to use proper 55Amp solar cable and put an XT60 on the end ?

Update: I posed the same above query to Bluetti last week and I finally got this reply:

Yes it is possible to make your own output cable, the output cable supplied with the Charger 1is designed to be universal and is 14AWG, if extending we would recommend using 12AWG cable and putting a 15A fuse close to the Charger 1 on the positive side.

So for anyone else that needs to site their Charger 1 at the front of the vehicle and run a long Output cable its perfectly feasible to make your own.

I have just bought (5 days ago) the Bluetti Charger 1 direct from their EU store in Germany. The BL-----dy thing did not work right out of the box. They want it returned and will replace it and gave me some credit to use next time I buy from them. As soon as I have it back and connected up will post back here my finding. I want to use it with my backup battery ( Bluetti AC70 ) which we use whilst sitting outside camper at night watch TV etc. There are some good videos/reviews on the charger 1, so I thought I would go for it. It also works with any other brands.

Update:
Well Bluetti could not have been more helpful new product arrived 4 days ago. I fitted it next day and off we went of a few days away. We have 180amps lithium lifepo4 battery under drivers seat top up via 200wats of solar and Victron B2B 50amp, which works great. Now we can charge the (spare used in awning etc) portable Bluetti AC70 whist driving. Test went well and found that from 25% left in AC70 to full took about 75mins of driving time. As well as the B2B charging the 180amp battery at the same time. Would I recommend it as a "solar replacement" perhaps not in UK, but here in Spain we have enough to charge most days to full in no time. It may take some time to re-cope the cost, but for now no need ever to use/pay for EHU. Recommend
