Bonnet Bra........ recommendations

Careful with a bonnet bra, they are know to damage the paintwork underneath.
A wrap is the best solution for that look.
Thanks for that ...good to know it not for the look it’s more to keep the stone chips away more what about a Bonnet Stone Deflector ,anyone out there had one

I can’t see that PPF would have helped with this mother.... it’s probably worth fitting a bra now as it’ll need repainting at some time.
I don’t remember the impact, which makes me wonder if it was an air rifle!

Don't take this the wrong way but that's a big one... you would have noticed that happening!

I have had 5 quotes for a carbon fibre bonnet wrap (sussex area) and they range from £195 - 240 including VAT.

Update, just had a quote for £350 (must be gold plated or something.... ;)

I’m puzzled, how can a very thin layer of vinyl be tougher than a stone projectile?

I have ordered Chipex for mine, from the reviews I have read it’s a great product, if you’re prepared to put in a little time you can achieve amazing results.

They guarantee a paint match too.

£30 -£40 is pennies compared to the wrapping coats mentioned in this thread.

Ppf and vinyl wrap are totally different vinyl wrap will still get stone chips, ppf won't in 99.99% of cases. Ppf is about £250 /300 ish.

Personally I don't see the point, anyone can get it when the owner is driving or parked.
They can, it just means it’s easier for someone to find it.
For instance, if I want to steal a number plate so I can bilk fuel, I’ve got to go out and find a silver T6 to steal it from.
Whereas If I want to clone a number plate, I just google it.

Crime prevention never results in there being no crime, but rather about making it harder for you to be a victim of it.

Fair enough though would just look on auto trader for 30 secs instead of trawling through random sites. Thankfully I'm in a country where that dodgy shit is extremely rare and plates are only from a central source.

Super easy to do, watch the vid on their website , I did exactly what they did and it so easy.
Had an issue with the indium grey being slightly lighter than the van, called them. No problem we will mix you a darker pot and send over some product to remove the stone chips you have already filled.

100% paint match guarantee, perfect.

Would be good to see some before and after photos in high-res, the ones on their website are too low quality!

@T6Paul I will post some once I have the correct paint match pot. Hopefully I will have it by the weekend and it’s slightly warmer than -4.

Ha ha ha! With all the van stuff you’ve been doing, I’m surprised it’s not more like -15 in your house!!!

Funnily enough I do get told off a lot for leaving the back door open as I am in and out a lot, so you’re not far off with your comment @JOG .
