DRL feed for additional LED lights

Is it this type of thing? I think it looks pretty cool if so.
Yes, exactly that.

What I'm wondering is if anyone knows of an ignition live in the engine bay?

I'm not against wiring through the bulkhead but these vehicles are new to me and I thought to pose the question here.

There is some sort of fuse box on the battery, but no idea whats inside.

The B engine fuse box is next to the battery/washer bottle.

Thanks Loz. Is it a case of having to remove the battery to get access?
as Rod says dead easy. there are two twist turn thumb screws that turn half a turn I think then it hinges up with the hinge being bulkhead side so you lift it from the bumper side. It can be quite stiff if not been removed before.

When I look at the picture Loz uploaded, am I right in thinking I could wire the +ve (from the light) via a piggyback fuse to any one of the spare slots?

not necessarily, if you look closely at the spare slots they have no receptacle in them, so they are not wired. You need to pick one of the ones with fuses in for a piggyback.

Ah right, that makes sense. Cheers again Loz. I'll go and have a look at the fuse box now.

My inner child loves this. :inlove::inlove::inlove:
My inner child wants this and a talking head unit like Kit.

Any ideas where this LED strip is from though?

Its from a company called Fairyspark:

Here's a link to the lights in action:

Had mine for a few weeks but not got round to putting it on, if anyone has some pics of how they wired them in it would be much appreciated.

I'm out all day tomorrow for the rugby but I will take some pics on Sunday.

In a nutshell, and with thanks to Loz, I found an Ignition live in the fuse box (in the engine bay) so wired the +ve in to that and used a grill bolt for the earth. Simple and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Could you pick any of the ones with a fuse in? Is there a favourite or any to avoid? This is a cheap upgrade and adds shiny to the van, what’s not to like? :)
