Brake caliper painting

Hmmm, this is taking a bit longer than I imagined, it's a complicated shape. I have one I think is now acceptable.

A bit dismayed this morning.

Before starting the second caliper, I thought I'd strip out the components of the calipers and vac bag them to keep them rust-free ect. but was a bit dismayed between the quality of the components of the second one, it almost looks like a copy part.

The second one is on the left, it doesn't have the nicely engineered blue pistions, it has a cheap cover seal with a bit of wire in the seal to keep it seated but they also glued it in place, whereas the the one on the right has better quality seals that just stay put as the grip onto the casting properly. Mine is with Bognor getting them done whilst also getting a Stage1 Revo map done... £400 plus VAT for them to strip them off and send them to a partner of theirs.
They are then stripped, painted and baked – So will be perfect - I hope!

I enquired about powder coating calipers when I collected my wheels last week, they said they can do this without me having to remove the seals, does this sound right? wouldn't they get damaged when the power coat is baked on?

Morning all... i have a quick question if i may...

I have had my calipers painted, but thre is a MASSIVE bit that hasn't been painted. It kind of spoils the effect i was going for.
What do you think, over sight on the painters side or is this something that is a replaceable part (like a pad anti rattle plate?) and as such will be replaced every 2 years anyway?

Thoughts please?
