Build Date And Wait Time

so the dealer tells me my build week is 44 (October 29th) and that we should see the van approx a month later. Does this sound realistic?

That was the standard delivery for my Kombi. Ordered quite a few options but regardless of options was given same delivery.

Might do as you had a build date confirmed already

Ordered my new Kombi 07/09/18, build date W/C 22/10/18, took a call from the dealer today saying its built and awaiting shipping.
Dealer has said it should be ready to collect late November.

That’s good news! I bet you’re buzzing..... my build date was the week after so I could get mine before xmas

I’m downsizing from a Sprinter. I’m getting a 4Motion cos I’m tired of getting towed out the mud by Hilux’s

The dealer has just emailed to say my Kombi is built and on its way to the UK, he expects it to be ready for collection before the end of the month. That will be pretty good going seeing as the build week was 29th October

Mine only took 10 days to get to the dealer once built. I’m collecting Friday

I wonder if it matters what dealer you use? If some get faster delivery? I used Cordwallis in Heathrow.

I don’t think so but I suspect some play the numbers so the meet targets.

Quick update.
Took a call from dealer today to say van arrives tomorrow.
Took me a little by surprise. I'm nowhere near ready for it.
