Cabin lights on when driving

Hi all, this is driving me nuts. My cabin and footwell lights stay on when driving. I get around the cabin lights by switching them off but mildly annoying if I forget to switch them back on, meaning no leaving home light. I've installed the footwell lights from @saxoboy and they behave in exactly the same way and I can't switch these off, so I'd really like to know why these two sets of lights act like this. All work fine when locking up, everything goes off after 45 seconds (set via Odbeleven), but I can't seem to touch the 'ignition on' settings for the overhead or footwell lights.

I've spent hours trawling through the central electrics module to no avail, I'd be grateful for any suggestions as to which settings, circuits or modules I could check out, thanks.

What colour wires have you connected your lights to in the courtesy circuit? Do your original lights operate as normal if you disconnect your new lights?

This sounds to me like the 'timer' for the live part of the courtesy circuit. This shouldn't be what's turning your lights off. Its done on the -ve side. Normally they should dim and turn off after a few seconds of locking the van. Sounds like you've connected to the wrong -ve cable in the loom.

Thanks Deaky, the original roof light has never gone off when driving. All I've done there is to swap the original unit for one of Matt's plug and play, and I've wired in a new set of footwell lights (also from Matt) as per instructions supplied (I hope). I'll check the footwell wiring again, although I can't see how rectifying these will resolve the roof light issue? Tis why I'm wondering if there's module settings that have gone screwy....

have you had or has your van undergone any conversion work? or is it factory fresh?

Got a bit curious as mine turns off the lights immediately when locking from the remote. What exactly you tweaked with OBDeleven for this?

Anyways as @Deaky suggested above sounds like the lights (their -ve side) are wired directly to permanent earth - not the switched -ve as OEM. The +12V feed to front roof lights is always active when ignition is on.
