Cable at the battery

Thanks not an OEM cable.

Ayything not working? Aftermarket diesel heater fitted?

It must go somewhere but that’s not factory wiring so as above it’s probably a second battery or towbar kit or something aftermarket like that ?

Cheers still waiting for a reply from the converters. All seems to be working not tryed the diesel heater tho. Got to be a bit careful what iam doing as the main battery keep draining found that cable putting a battery charger on.

I have a red wire connected to the battery with an in line fuse. For some reason after a period of time the fuse melts as the wire gets warm. Any ideas ?

Better to start a new thread as it’ll get messy

Sterling pro batt ultra. It say it feed some of the solar power to trickle charge the starter battery if it needs it.
I’m not familiar with Sterling stuff but isn’t that a mains charger that works off your EHU? Presumably you have separate DC-DC charger and solar chargers?

Might be easier for you to look up how thay work. Than me trying to explain what I've read from the booklet. Sound quite good if thay work like thay say.
The van does have a victron mppt as well and a power park which hold all the fuses and montana control panel

I did have a quick look before posting and unless I’m missing something the Sterling is a mains charger only. So what’s confusing is you’ve said the cable was from the dc-dc (aka B2B) and you’ve also mentioned solar but the Sterling has nothing to do with either. Do you have a dc-dc charger - i.e. one that charges the leisure battery while the engine is running?

The concern is if that cable is actually to a dc-dc it looks suspiciously small for the likely current and possible length of the cable depending where the dc-dc is and its power.

If the cable is actually from the Sterling (which is not a B2B) it is probably ok depending on the model of Sterling and its charging power (e.g. 20w).

I was assuming it was b2b as it chargers both batteries a little i do apologise. Thank you for your correction. Iam sending my instructions back as thay must be incorrect ad it says its takes some of the solar power to the starter battery. Sorted now thanks
