Did you go to Mr Chips in the town? I really like Louth - my parents used to have a static near Alford on part of RAF Strubby airfield, so have been there lots. Here’s ours.

I love them, the king of trailers. Not cheap but hold their value very well. I owned one for 12 months, sold it for what I paid for , it was literally free to own , now that is value!Another vote for Anssems, great trailers but not cheap.

That’s a behemoth of a trailer, how much “stuff” do you take camping???
We have a 3.8m SIB & 20hp Suzuki OB in ours, plus all the associated gubbins. The boat is an Excel Volaire, so not the most compact or lightweight beast.Might be a bit big...
But I want to be able to take a pretty big inflatable boat and a large outboard.
I need to go and look at some at some point...
That is interesting - Honwave T38 and Suzuki 20 for me so a similar setup. What model trailer do you have?We have a 3.8m SIB & 20hp Suzuki OB in ours, plus all the associated gubbins. The boat is an Excel Volaire, so not the most compact or lightweight beast.
Afaik the rules only apply to new trailers & aren’t retrospective. So who’s to say when a home built trailer was er umm “built”Not to put a damper on everyone's spirits but didn't some regulations come into effect. To the result that all trailers had to be manufactured by an authorised manufacturer with weight plate and serial number on. Hence the increase in Erde trailers by Halfords, and a couple of German manufacturers. Other than is it Twyford Williams or similar name in the UK, also there used to be Indespension of Bolton, but I don't think they sell the chassis any more due to these new regs.
I can't see 'old bill' that interested unless involves a serious RTA.
I'll have a look and see if can get a confirmation.
UK Government sites, indicate type approval re self-build. Over 20 years, 3500kg etc. Best to have a read, before building.
@Eli What make and model is that please?
