What has KwikFit got to do with an unknown Belgian band?Triggering klaxons, flashing Amber lights, and an emergency DM telling the poster to step away from the keyboard

Definitely prefer their early albums before they went Major labelWhat has KwikFit got to do with an unknown Belgian band?
Believe it not, I got four new boots, (103 rated Goodyears) fitted at home by kwikfit. They were £200 cheaper than anywhere else and the young lad that done it was brilliant and knew to reverse fit them onto brand new alloys.(not a mark on them)Ok, so your software will have different compensations in for diameter. This has been discussed on here but is not something I have dabbled with.
Not sure how able you are, but best thing you can do is take the wheel off and see what space they are as skyliner33 says.
If you want to stay legal, then the load index is key. For T32 you need 103 minimum.
Not sure I would advocate asking kwik fit anything, but your choice.
So if reverse fitting is better, why are all tyres not fitted this way, new alloys or not?Believe it not, I got four new boots, (103 rated Goodyears) fitted at home by kwikfit. @RGA6.1 as for the sizes, two were 245/45/20 on 8.5” and rears 275/40/20 on 10”. The speedo now reads exact compared to two different gps sources.
Dunno, but my guess would be that nothing is levered against the front face of the alloys????So if reverse fitting is better, why are all tyres not fitted this way, new alloys or not?
My guess is time. Mine have to be reverse fitted because of the depth or something. But they have to faff and get a plastic cover that fits into the machine first so the face of the alloy doesn’t get damaged when they go on the machine face down. It seemed to be a lot of messing about when I had mine fitted. So if reverse fitting is better, why are all tyres not fitted this way, new alloys or not?
Thank you.
I’m very tempted to cut my losses and go for some genuine VW 18s or 20s……….then sell these 20s with the tyres.
You’ve got Sportline replicas. They’ll sell, either on here, eBay or Facebook Marketplace.Thank you.
