Can't find the hole in the dark

I connected my footwell lights to this circuit. While I had my glovebox out, I found an easily accessible wire attached to a red connector above the wheel arch so connected to that, saved me removing anything else and ther was an earth bolt directly underneath to connect to. Hope you get it sorted, I may go down this route when the missus has her back turned.

It is a nice little mod, done mine a wile back, make sure you get some LED bulbs in there

This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I am however a wiring buffoon for which I apologise... from reading this thread I understand I need to to once again pull bits off my van and try not to break stuff.
I have bought the adapter as well so I’m assuming this is essentially plug and play with the exception of having to run the extra wire down the A pillar and feed it to the grey and blue wire from the back of the lighting switch unit thing. What is the best way to feed into this? Is it as simple as a scotch lock? Or is there a super technical method that I need to know about?

Scotch lock will work fine @Thogg. Pop the lens off the original light, there’s a couple of screws behind it that you have to remove. The new one just clips in

Ideal thanks. I’ve had a look at the wiring setup behind the light switch and it looks like there are a couple of grey and blue wires.. do I need to be selective or will either do?

IMG_1513.JPG Hi all , promised my wife l would have Christmas Day away from thinking about the van ,spending time with the family. I said she is part of the family ! .
Just though I would share another take on the ambient lighting. Merry Christmas .

One is the feed into the dimmer and one is the dimmed output. Trial and error you’ve got a 50/50 chance of getting the right one
