Caravelle leaking into cab area

Hi all. Looking for some help or advise please.

I have a 2016 LWB Caravelle. Both sides of the cab floor are wet and damp and Im beginning to get mold growth appearing on the carpet.

The bus has a reimo poptop fitted. However, when running a hose pipe over this seems to be dry and no wet around the roof areas or behind both A pillars. There are no roof rails fitted. A local converter told me to look behind the A pillars and check the the drain pipes but when I did removed the trim, there were no pipes installed running down the A pillars and the foam on the back of the trim was completely dry. Local garages are telling me that they only do mechanical work, so Im struggling on how to find and repair the leak. Not sure if this is related but under the bonnet, the battery area is also wet too.

Any ideas please?

If the battery area is wet then that is also the area that cabling is often run for after market leisure batteries and EHU.

Might be worth your while tracing the cable through the scuttle and the bulkhead and check that route, also check that nothing can hold water on that area.

Might also be worth checking the cable runs under the front seats as that is where some of the cable runs go inside/outside.

Though you'd have to be driving regularly in very wet areas I suspect for that to be an issue.

Check the drains in the scuttle panel under the windscreen. You may be best to remove the wiper arms to remove the trim. Also check the drain from the heater/aircon unit under the dash at the passenger side hasn't been displaced.
Another issue may be the pollen filter not being fitted correctly

Thanks. I have no leisure battery or EHU installed yet but thats not to say there wont be any other cables going in. Will check the area

Do I need a puller to remove the wipers? Will see if I can locate any drain holes and check for blockages.

Do you have roof rails? If yes another area to explore - gets in via the fixings and runs down the A, B & C pillars.

Could be the plenum full of leaves and detritus. The fan intake is quite low on the passenger side, or it could be tracking in through cable entries. Also check the AC drain hose isn’t disconnected.

I found the cause of the leak. The passenger side separator panel under the scuttle tray was not fitted correctly. The gasket to the rear of the panel was hanging off and the two screws were loose. This meant the water would run down the windscreen, into the scuttle area and drip through to the battery area and wires behind the battery, then run along into the cab area.
