Caravelle T30 Or T32??

Perfect. Make sure you protect and seal the wheels before fitting as they are diamond cut and lawyered.

Hi, hoping someone can help,
I have a 2017 T6 Caravelle executive 204 DSG and want to upgrade the suspension to Bilstein coilovers.
The kits for T28/30 are different to T32 and I can't work out which one I need, I have spoken to two different VW dealers, one said it is definitely a T32... the other was 100% confident it is a T30!!

the Vin plate says the following:

3080kg
5300kg
1- 1620kg
2- 1515kg
Typ 7HC

Can anyone help me to solve the puzzle?

Thanks
Rich

Your VIN numbers are different!
Check your V5 for Revenue weight or maximum permissible mass. Should be 3000 for a T30 and 3200 for a 32
The front hubs are different on a 32 too

Thanks for the swift responses!
It seems with Caravelles it's not as straight forward as with the vans / kombis as its neither 300o or 3200 on the plate its 3080. The V5 doesn't give any more info other than a mass in service of 2093 and towing limit of 2500.

I've attached a picture below of the front strut, if that helps, I've heard there's a difference between a bolted and slotted design but I'm not sure as to what that refers to, mine has two lower bolts...

Will need to visually check the front struts.
Can you tell from this?

Super thanks, I'll get the T30 B14s & H&R anti-roll bars on order!
Anyone doing good deals on these at the moment?

Ho all on the Facebook t6 forum group a guy was asking if anyone has a t30 204 caravelle as apparently his has been registered as a T30 but he says it's a T32 as he has the big brakes and suspension mounting is different.

I thought the brake size didn't define T30 or T32.... is there a definitive answer by looking at the suspension to tell if its T30 or T32? Just for my own interest as I have a euro version and we don't have the T30 or T32 listings.

Big brakes are not exclusive to T32, however I believe the different suspension mount at the front hub is.

Caravelles don’t fit into the T30/T32 brackets and actually sit in between
The easiest way to tell is to look at the sticker in the engine bay behind the air box and it will state max vehicle weight and also max front and rear axle weights

probably has a weight of 3080kg, big brakes don't mean t32. the 204ps does however mean it gets the big brakes.
