Cargo Courtesy Lights - AGAIN ! !

Hi

Hopefully a simple question - my first here.

I have the three wire courtesy lighting in the rear cargo area - - see pics 1 & 2 for ref





Like many others - I just want a nicer LED light to replace it - so it matches the decor for our ongoing camper conversion.

I've wired a puck light up - Pic 3



It works exactly as I need.

Door opens - light comes ON
After a short time - Light goes OFF

Perfect

SIMPLE QUESTION:

Does anything need to be done with the third Brown cable - I don't need it for any switching etc can I just safely cap it off.


I've read many of the threads in the forum which have given me some fantastic information but tend to move into the realms of adding switches and other complications which I don't need -
Apologies is if this has been covered elsewhere

Just tape it up. Brown is permanent-ve
