Carista Evo - Worth it?

I personally think the standard Carista is poor value too.

I did the setup stuff in the free period, and that's it. It'd be cheaper in the long run to get something like an iCwrsoft V2.0 that can read all systems as well as trigger regens, configure new components, calibrate new senors etc, than pay £xyz every month for Carista.

It's far from being the end of the world but with the benefit of hindsight I wish I hadn't bothered.

There is no free period now, and unfortunately you don't know what your buying until you have paid.

Got the original one a couple of years ago for £17 and did a few mods in the free trial period. The odd time I’ve wanted to check a code and when I needed to code the H7 lights I’ve used the free beta mode. That was the same when I had an ACC issue on my Passat. It works with the DPF Monitor for VAG app nicely to keep an eye on regens. If I really needed to do more with it that can’t be done in beta I’d just pay for a month. For £17 it paid for itself with the H7 coding and fault finding on the Passat.

Just had an email from Carista offering Carista app pro 12 months for £29.99

I just ended my first month's subscription and wasn't going to bother renewing at £14.99 per month but this deal was too hard to resist!
