Carpet Lining - How hard actually is it?

Thank you mate. As long as it worked for you thats all that matters!
I think which ever place you start etc it’s key not to stretch it. It stretches very easily as you move it and you’ll find yourself with excess carpet that wrinkles on the adjacent panel. You’ll then have to stretch that panel to keep the carpet in line and it’s them harder to find any stretch for the recesses if that makes sense. You’ll understand once you start manipulating the stuff.
Also, take a bottle of turps and some cloths into the van with you. When you have an overspray ‘incident’ you don’t want to be running out of the van looking for turps and a cloth. Those nozzles have a mind of their own.

Watched a few videos, decided to have panels individually covered.

- Buy 4 way stretch carpet
- Lots of contact adhesive
- Carbide Stanley blades, standard ones are crap
- Some tools to smooth carpet into tight areas
- Longer clips

I messed up one of the sides on my first attempt trying to detail in areas before letting it fall and it became too tight near the bottom so ended up tearing the whole thing off and starting again, means I have to order extra to do the headliner.

Been doing bits here and there. Current progress.

Breaking it up into smaller chunks of work helps, had an hour after work and before dinner. Got the sliding door panel done.

One tip I got was to use a large desert spoon to work the liner into crevices , great around wheel arches and corners.
